Money the Dog needs a home

Show me the Money!  Well here he is!

Are you looking for a gentle boy, that loves everyone he meets?  He is your perfect match!

Money is a Black-Tri Aussie/Bernese Mountain Dog mix and a full sweetheart.

Money came into CARS, rescued from animal control after his family of 6 years surrendered him due to no fault of his own.  He loves people, other dogs, and seems to be good with cats.   He gets along great with the resident dog, but thinks he would rather just hang out instead of play with her.  He has also met the resident cat and enjoys getting to go see her, down in the basement, to say hello.  She has even made an appearance or two upstairs while we have been fostering Money, since she's a pretty good judge of character.

Money is very fond of a good dog bed or really anything soft to lay on.  You'll find that before he lays down he likes to spin around several times to make sure he has the best spot.  He's even managed to hoist himself onto the human bed with more of a vertical jump than we thought he had.  He also loves laying on you or the couch to spend a little quality time.

Money does likes to go on car rides, but you may need a tether to keep him in the back seat, since he enjoys co-piloting.  He is fond of getting to go on walks, but due to being a little overweight he's looking for someone that can help him build up his stamina and even loose a little weight to help him keep his New Year's resolution.

Money is a low-energy, 6-year-old dude, that is housebroken and knows sit and shake.  He likes being brushed regularly, so that he is kept looking his best and if you substitute that with a few belly rubs he won't mind.  While being fostered he even got to spend a day at the doggie spa and loved it!  Did I mention he can be trusted in the house, without a crate?   He will go in a crate though with just a little coaxing.

Money is a SLOW eater for a dog of his size.  We have been working with him to get him on a schedule, but if he is allowed to graze through out the day he would probably be okay with that too.  He usually finishes up his meal with a good drink of water.

So if you are looking for a chill guy, that considers himself a big lap dog (67 pounds), that is happy to see you every time you come home and will provide you the currency of love (such a good kisser), submit you application today!

Money is neutered, up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, Fecal tested (negative), Heartworn tested (negative) and Microchipped. Money also takes monthly preventatives for flea/tick and preventation  for heartworms.
